DIGITAL REPOSITORY

What is the Digital Repository module?

A repository is a place where things can be stored and can be found. A fancy name for where you keep critical information and usually under lock in key.

A digital repository is a collection or archive of online resources, or it is the electronic equivalent of library stacks.

The Digital Church Platform® Digital Respository module is a secure, structured digital repository with role based access.

Why is it Important?

As we have transitioned to the digital age, we have found our digital assets - images, documents, videos, etc. are sitting digitally in many different places - the priest's computer, the administrator's computer, a churchwardens computer, to name a few. And then each one has their favourite place to store things - google docs, dropbox, their preferred software solution.

When a document is needed, it is sometimes challenging to find the item in question and the most recent version. And if the person who is responsible is away or falls ill, it is an even more time-consuming effort to locate it.

Benefits

With the Digital Church Platform® Digital Repository module, your church will have a secure, structured digital repository with role-based access.

It improves the resilience of the administration of your church and provides an easily accessible single location of all the digital assets. This particularly important when there is a transition in staff and in preparation for visitations.

Secure & Structured

Access is granted and individual access can be tracked.

A best practice structure has been developed but it can easily be changed to your own structure at the click of a button.
